Designer in Profile - Alison Lawson

Originally a primary school teacher, Alison is now a stay at home mum. She
became passionate about designing cakes three years ago. She was persuaded
by her sister to learn the art of making spectacular cakes for her own boys
Fergus (5), Harry (3) and Tommy (1).

After attending classes at a community evening college in Chatswood, Alison
was totally hooked on the art of cake design, and Alison Lawson Cakes was
born. Alison combines her love of beautiful party styling, with spectacular
cakes and dessert tables. You can check out her website at
www.facebook.com/alisonlawsoncakes

Alison¹s cakes, parties and dessert tables have been featured both
nationally as well as internationally on Amy Atlas, Sara¹s Party Perfect,
Catch My Party, Bondville, The Inspired Occasion and Les Enfants .

Alison also writes for Highland Baby and Child online magazine on Party Styling.

Alison and her family moved to the Southern Highlands one year ago. Alison
is glad to be home, having lived and worked in the area some years ago.

Alison Lawson Cakes specialises in boutique Dessert Tables and Party Styling.

A Dessert Table adds a very stylish touch to any special celebration. Alison
just loves designing Dessert Tables, and each one tells a very special story!

Alison strives to bring each client the highest level of service and
creative concepts for their event. She specialises in children¹s parties
and small social parties (Birthdays, Bridal Showers, Baby Showers).

Alison's boutique party food is customised to each theme and colour palette,
and is of the highest quality - hand made in most instances.

Alison's Dessert Tables are a spectacular decoration in themselves, and
very few, if any additional decorations are required.

Alison's custom party services are designed to take the load of the party
off your shoulders. She works with clients to select a concept and colour
palette and from there, you can relax.

All of Alison's Dessert Tables feature custom designed printables, such as
food labels, cupcake toppers, and chocolate wrappers to match the theme and colour palette.

Alison will be showcasing handmade cookies, cookie wands, gingerbread meringues,
marshmallow pops and Christmas Cakes at the Highlands Handmade Market.

Designer in Profile - Ange Clarke

The Gratitude Project was created in the Southern Highlands of NSW.
The project was in response to black and white personalised postcards created by my company for businesses to say thank you in their day to day and, to assess if an increase level of gratitude made a difference.

The cards were inspired by my son Will, who lives with Autism.

A business or individual creates their personal cards with images that resonate with their business, a word of thanks and a quote.
Anyone in the business or organisation can use the cards daily to write a note of thanks or they can be packaged to give as a gift.
It requires the giver to write a hand written message which expresses their gratitude.
