"Beats Working"-Patchwork and Quilting by Nicky Bourke.

I have been sewing since my teens,and focusing on patchwork and quilting for the past 11 years. I enjoy creating different pieces-especially for babies/children.It's nice to be able to personalise an item for their cot/bed, or their bedroom wall. I like to work with clients on their colour/fabric preferences.

I particularly enjoy hand sewing...whilst it seems tedious to others-I find it incredibly relaxing, and a better finish. I love working with fabric,ribbons, and ceramic buttons.Hand sewn embroidery detail or applique' puts the finishing touches to a beautiful piece that will become an heirloom for that person.
